Abstracts and papers will be submitted through ROSA - Responsive Online System for Acta Horticulturae submission and review.

Abstracts should not exceed 300 words and be based on original work. Should give full information on the objective, materials and methods and major results obtained.

English is the official language of the IX International Symposium on New Ornamental Crops. So, only abstracts written in English will be accepted for review.

In order to submit an abstract, presenting authors need to have a valid ISHS user account. For more information on ISHS membership click here: ISHS Membership

Otherwise, a submission charge applies. The submission charge is not part of the symposium registration fees. The cost for abstract submission is EUR 80 for individuals residing outside the European Union. For authors submitting from the EU zone, the fee is EU 95 (including VAT).

Young Minds Award

During each ISHS Symposium two Young Mind Awards for junior scientists will be given: 

• One award for the best oral presentation given by a junior scientist who is in the same time the presenter and the first author of the submitted manuscript.

• One award for the best poster presented by a junior scientist who is the first author of the work.

Students and junior scientists interested in participating in the ISHS Young Minds Award should indicate this when submitting the abstract in ROSA by ticking the appropriate box which is available in the abstract entry page. For more information click here: ISHS Young Minds Award
